Team News
It may not have been as straightforward as many were expecting, but the Boston Bruins are now within reach of the next round of the playoffs. Boston could achieve that feat by claiming success in game five at TD Garden on Wednesday. The Bruins have bounced back from defeat in game two in extremely strong fashion by winning each of games three and four in Florida.
The most recent of those was a success over the weekend, as they landed a huge 6-2 win over the Panthers. Boston was extremely professional in that game, as they scored once in each of the opening two periods, before netting four in the final period. Taylor Hall was a standout performer with two goals and two assists.

There is certainly a feeling that the Panthers now have a mountain to climb if they are to reach the next round of the playoffs. Defeats in each of their home games means that they must win on the road against the Bruins to stay alive. However, they have already claimed victory at TD Garden in this opening round series.
The Panthers were never in the game over the weekend, as they scored once in each of the second and final periods to add some respectability to the final scoreline. Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett scored the goals in the defeat for the Panthers.
Picks
Defeats in the previous two games mean that it only seems a matter of time before the Bruins secure their spot in the next round. We expect them to complete the job on Tuesday with victory at TD Garden.
