The job is nearly done for the Dallas Stars, as they are one victory away from securing their spot in the Western Conference finals. They secured victory in game five to move to within touching distance of their spot in the conference finals. Dallas was excellent on Thursday, as they landed a 5-2 home win.
The Stars scored twice in the opening period, before netting once in the second. The final two goals were later added in the final period to wrap up a memorable win in front of their home fans. Roope Hintz was in inspired form, as he scored twice. Meanwhile, Jason Robertson ended the night with two assists.

Meanwhile, there now appears to be a huge challenge for the Seattle Kraken to overcome. But, huge positives would have been taken from this season regardless of the result on Saturday, as they have been able to compete in the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. But, they will need a victory on Saturday to force a game seven.
Seattle was always playing catch up on Thursday, as they fell 2-0 down after the opening period. However, they gave themselves a fighting chance after netting twice in the second. But, the Stars were able to flex their muscles to cruise to victory. The Kraken goals in the defeat were netted by Adam Larsson and Jared McCann.
