Team News
The New Jersey Devils enjoyed an excellent end to the season, as they landed victories in seven of their last ten games. Only the Boston Bruins picked up more wins over the same period, but it could be a pivotal run for the Devils, as they were able to snatch third in the overall standings.
New Jersey has lost three times in regulation over their last ten, and has gone 24-13-4 at Prudential Center this term. That home record would be a slight concern coming into the playoffs, as they have recorded four more victories and four fewer regulation defeats on their travels this term.

We remain keen on the chances of the New York Rangers going far in the playoffs this season. However, they ended the regular season in slightly underwhelming form, as they went 5-2-3 across their final ten games. But, they have consistency on the road, as they went 24-9-8 away from Madison Square Garden throughout 2022-23.
But, the Rangers will need to get back on track on Monday, as they were beaten in their final two games at the end of the regular season. The most recent of those was a 3-2 loss at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs last week.
Picks
We will be siding with the Rangers taking an early game one advantage in this series. They boast a better defensive record than the Devils, and have impressed on the road throughout the season. We could also see them covering the spread to claim success.
