Game Preview
Club America is the most successful club in Mexico, as well as the team with the most valuable roster in the 2023 Liga MX. Therefore, it’s no surprise that many predict “Las Águilas” will win the Apertura.
They’ve been in fantastic form throughout this entire campaign, with their only loss in the league happening back in June.
When it comes to playing at Estadio Azteca, they’re even more impressive. Club America have won every single one of their last five home matches. Can they add a sixth to the list?
They will certainly try, but Club Leon’s players will do all they can to prevent that from happening. They did very well in their first game, especially in the second half.
Club Leon had a 2-1 lead at halftime, but after Club America equalized, they went into siege mode, which lasted for 45 minutes. They defended with all they got and were able to stop Club America’s captain Henry Martin from scoring a hat-trick.

These two have met three times already in 2023, and each of those games ended in a draw. This time, however, we don’t think the same will happen.
