Game Preview
On Wednesday evening, Inter Miami beat Toronto FC despite missing a couple of important players, including Lionel Messi. It seemed as if the Herons could be in trouble but some of their backups stepped up.
Federico Redondo Solari, who had previously scored no goals for Inter Miami, hit the net twice. He also made one assist, finding Diego Gomez at the right time in the right place.
Thanks to their efforts, Inter Miami won the game 3:1. It’s a nice win, but keep in mind that Toronto FC is probably the worst team in the MLS in 2024.

The good news for Inter Miami’s fans is that their next opponent isn’t much better either. Chicago Fire is third from the bottom in the East, with just 25 points. In comparison, the Herons have collected exactly twice as many points.

Sergio Busquets is returning for Inter Miami after a one-game bad. Luis Suarez too is ready to make his first start for the Herons in six weeks. Their return is bound to make Inter Miami even better, so anything but a convincing win over Chicago Fire would be a surprise.
