Game Preview
As expected, Lionel Messi was brilliant in Inter Miami’s first game of the 2024 MLS season. He made plenty of beautiful moves against Real Salt Lake, as well as assisted Robert Taylor for one goal.
The other goal was the work of Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez on an assist from 20-year-old Paraguayan midfielder Diego Gomez, who was the man of the match.
All in all, the Herons looked alright, but that game was played on their turf against a relatively mediocre opponent. Now, they’re facing a tougher challenge on the road.
Los Angeles Galaxy has a very good roster in 2024. In fact, this team has spent more than $10 million on transfers, which makes the Galaxy one of the biggest spenders in the 2024 MLS. Most of that money went for the signing of forwards Joseph Paintsil and Gabriel Pec, whose job is scoring goals.
LA Galaxy vs. Inter Miami Prediction
Inter Miami kept a clean sheet in the first game of the 2024 MLS season, but we doubt they can do the same against the Galaxy. If we’re right and they concede a goal (or more), Lionel Messi will have to come to the rescue.
He didn’t score last time, but we can definitely see him put away a couple of goals and/or record a couple of assists.
