Inter Milan remain among the dark horse contenders for Champions League glory this season, and they have done little to hinder their European aspirations in the competition to this point. Inter have won five of their seven matches, and they have the best defensive record of any side in the competition.
Monaco remain in a strong position to join Inter in the automatic spots for the knockout round after winning three of their last five. A win would see them move into the top eight places, while a draw could also be enough to secure their passage through to the next round without a need for a playoff next month.

Inter Milan have a very positive record against AS Monaco, as they have won each of the last two meetings between the sides in Italy. The latest of those was a 3-1 success in the semi-final stage of the UEFA Cup in 1996-97.
Inter’s unbeaten sequence is also worth considering this week. The Italian side has gone 12 without defeat at the San Siro, which is their longest unbeaten sequence on home soil since September 2002.
Monaco’s away record is also worth considering this week. The Ligue 1 side has won just once in their last ten matches on the road in the Champions League. However, it could be worth noting that their only win over period was achieved in Italy against Bologna in November.
