AC Milan enjoyed an excellent run to the last four of the Champions League last season, and there will be optimism that they can make another charge in the competition this season. The Italian giants have made an excellent start to the domestic season, as they have won each of their opening three matches to sit second in the league standings.
However, Milan scraped through their group last season, as they were easily beaten at home and away by Chelsea. Despite that, they still boast an excellent home record in the competition against English opposition, and that could count for a lot when it comes to this opening showdown against Newcastle on Tuesday.
