Match Preview
Man City should have a routine fixture to navigate in order to book their spot in the next stage of the Champions League. The reigning European champions were strong in their first clash with Copenhagen, landing a 3-1 away win in Denmark. Kevin De Bruyne was excellent in that clash, while further goals were added by Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva.
Copenhagen will be aware of the size of their challenge this week, as they likely needed to upset the odds in the first meeting to stand any chance of progression against the defending champions. City are also unbeaten in five matches against Copenhagen in the Champions League, winning the previous meeting between the sides at the Etihad 5-0.

Copenhagen haven’t enjoyed much success in away matches against English sides after failing to win in seven previous visits. Over that period, they have suffered five defeats. Meanwhile, they have failed to score in each of their last four away matches in England in the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola’s record in two-legged ties after winning the opening leg is excellent, as they have progressed from each of their last nine when playing the return match at home. City also come into this fixture after winning each of their last nine in the Champions League.
Man City vs Copenhagen Prediction
We find it very challenging to overlook the home win this week. Man City should have far too much for their Danish rivals, and we expect them to claim victory by at least a three-goal margin.
