Match Preview
The job for Real Madrid has already been completed, as the Spanish giants will finish top of the group standings. They have won each of their five matches in the competition, which is their longest winning sequence since landing ten straight wins between April 2014 and February 2015. However, they will be looking to win all three away games in the group stage for the second time in the last nine seasons.
This will only be the second time that these sides have clashed, with Real landing a 1-0 success on matchday one of the competition. Real’s record away from home in Germany should also be considered this week, as they have won six of their last eleven trips to the European country.

A Europa League finish is the best that Union could manage in the group stage, but they will need to upset the odds to achieve that finish this week. The German side have suffered defeats in each of their last two home matches in the competition, which is as many losses as they had suffered in their previous eleven matches across European competitions.
However, a lot of confidence would have been taken from their draw in Portugal against Braga on the previous matchday. Meanwhile, they bounced back to winning ways domestically over the weekend, recording a 3-1 success at home against Borussia Monchengladbach.
