Match Preview
Qatar will be making their second appearance at the CONCACAF Gold Cup this year after exceeding all expectations to reach the final four in 2021. All attention for the AFC nation will be on securing their spot in the upcoming World Cup after making their debut appearance at their home tournament in 2022.
However, Qatar failed to record a single victory in the previous World Cup, becoming the first host nation in history not to win a single match. Their form this calendar year has been patchy, as they have won just twice in six internationals. But, their most recent win was recorded earlier this month, as they landed a 2-1 success over Jamaica.

Haiti could be one of the dark horse nations that could spring a surprise at the Gold Cup this year. They previously won the tournament in 1973, and reached the semi-final stage in 2019. However, they exited the competition at the group stage in 2019, after winning just one of their three group stage matches.
But, they should come into the event this year in good confidence, as they have won both of their international fixtures so far this calendar year. They were fine 3-1 winners over Bermuda in their most recent international, and they have scored seven goals in two matches this year.
Haiti vs Qatar Prediction
This could be a huge fixture in determining the nation that takes second in Group B. We would be prepared to take a chance on Haiti upsetting the odds on matchday one, as they have shown consistent form across their international matches so far this calendar year.
