Match Preview
The USA would have come into the quarterfinal stage of the Nations League as one of the commanding favorites to book their spot in the last four. They are the defending champions after winning the previous edition of the tournament over the summer against Canada.
They made a dream start to this tie in the opening leg last week, but they were forced to be extremely patient after being frustrated by ten men for over an hour. However, the USA finally made their class count in the final ten minutes after netting three times. Ricardo Pepi opened the scoring, before Antonee Robinson and Giovanni Reyna added further goals.

In truth, the final result was pretty harsh on Trinidad and Tobago, as they defended excellently throughout that away tie. However, their chances of victory were negatively impacted after Noah Powder was sent off just seven minutes before the half time break. From that point, they were always playing for the goalless draw.
The USA continues to create chances at will, as they ended the first leg after registering 26 shots. However, they could only hit the target on eight occasions.
