Game Preview
This weekend, the Spurs lost to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park 0-1. They were without Son, and that was hugely felt upfront because they couldn’t score or make a decent opportunity for a goal. Once again, we saw huge oscillations in Tottenham’s performances, and the consequence was the result.
The London team plays well at home. They have won the previous four contests, scoring 11 goals and allowing just one, delivering three clean sheets during that span, which isn’t their characteristic.
City has a new Balon d’Or winner: Rodri. Due to his injury, he won’t play this season anymore, which is a big blow for the Citizens. However, they are pushing hard on all fronts and have five straight wins at the moment.
We saw them net 15 times in these matches and produced three clean sheets. So, we can say that Guardiola’s unit is in excellent form.
Tottenham vs. Manchester City Head to Head
In three direct matches last year, City had two wins and one game ended with a tie. It was at the Etihad, 2-2. Man City’s triumphs were at the Tottenham Stadium, 0-1 and at the same place only in the EFL Cup, 0-2.
Tottenham vs. Manchester City Prediction
It’s the EFL Cup, and the managers will mix the lineups a bit. That and the fact that Tottenham plays at home are enough for us to bet on over 2.5 goals.
