How Many Goals Will Erling Haaland Score In 2023-24?
There is little doubt that Erling Haaland was able to take Man City to the next level after signing for the club from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022. The Norwegian scored a stunning 52 goals in 52 matches across all competitions, including a staggering 36 efforts in just 35 Premier League appearances. That tally exceeded the record for most goals in a Premier League campaign, and there will be pressure on the Norwegian to outperform those figures once again in 2023-24.
However, we don’t expect Haaland to reach the same figure for the second season running, as we wouldn’t be surprised to see a slight drop-off. That being said, we would still expect the City striker to net at least 30 goals, with the safest betting option being priced up at -225.
The headers market could be the most interesting. The current Premier League record for most headed goals in a single season was set by Harry Kane in 2022-23, as he netted ten. Meanwhile, Haaland’s tally didn’t even make it into the top five. We could see that changing this season, as we would be surprised if he didn’t score at least seven headed goals for City.
Erling Haaland Specials Prediction
We expect Haaland to once again break the 30+ goal barrier in the Premier League, and over seven headed goals could be an excellent bet. However, the best selection could come in the form of the Norwegian outscoring Wolves. The Midlands team netted just 31 last term, and they will be even shorter in the final third this season after losing Raul Jimenez, Ruben Neves, and Adama Traore.
