Match Preview
Spain have already assured their spot at the EUROs next summer, but they will be keen to top the Group A standings to aid their chances of success in Germany. They come into this penultimate match in the group sitting top, but they are only above Scotland on goal difference. The Spanish have won each of their previous four.
Their most recent success was a dramatic win over Scotland. They rode their luck in that victory, as the Scots saw a contentious goal disallowed in the first period. That means that the nation will finish bottom of the Group A standings, regardless of the outcome on Thursday.
Cyprus have allowed a group-high of 25 goals across their matches in this stage, while they have found the back of the net on just two occasions. In the previous international break, Cyprus were handed back-to-back 4-0 defeats at the hands of Georgia and Norway.
