Match Preview
Exciting action in the FA Cup is set for this weekend, as the fourth round kicks off on Friday. Chelsea will have a busy week of action domestically, as they will also bid to overturn a 1-0 disadvantage in their EFL Cup semi-final showdown against Middlesbrough on Tuesday. However, they should come into this match in good confidence after breezing through the third round.
Chelsea were excellent in the third round of the FA Cup, as they eased to a 4-0 win at home against Preston. Armando Broja netted the opening goal in that success, before further efforts were added by Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterlin, and Enzo Fernandez. That was their 13th consecutive victory against a side from a lower division in the FA Cup.

There is certainly a feeling that Aston Villa are progressing under Unai Emery this term, and it could yet end in memorable fashion by landing a first major honor in over 20 years. The Villa battled hard in their third round tie against Middlesbrough, with their winning effort being netted with just three minutes remaining.
Matty Cash was the hero at the Riverside, as the full-back’s deflected effort found its way into the Boro net. It was a big success for the Villa, as it marked their first progression through to the fourth round since the 2015-16 season. But, they will face a bigger challenge on Friday against the Blues.
Chelsea vs Aston Villa Prediction
Villa have picked up victories in each of their last two matches at Stamford Bridge, but they have lost each of their last two domestic cup ties against the Blues. Home advantage could be key this weekend, and a chance is taken on Chelsea to progress.
