Match Preview
It has been an excellent return to life in the Football League for Wrexham, as they have given themselves a perfect chance to achieve a second straight promotion this term. The Welsh side boast an excellent record against Shrewsbury in FA Cup ties, having won two of the last three. That includes success in the most recent clash in 1973-74.
But, Shrewsbury have picked up victories in five of their last six matches against Wrexham across all competitions. Their latest win was a 3-0 success in League Two in April 2008. However, the Shrews have exited the competition in the third round in four of the last six campaigns.

Wrexham exceeded expectations last season, reaching the fourth round of the competition while they were playing in the National League. The Welsh side haven’t reached the fourth round of the FA Cup in consecutive seasons since 2000. But, this could be a golden opportunity to end that sequence.
Paul Mullin could be a player worth considering when it comes to prop selections this weekend. The striker has scored eleven goals in his last ten appearances in the competition, with nine of those efforts coming in seven appearances for Wrexham in the FA Cup.
Shrewsbury vs Wrexham Prediction
A division separates these two sides, but Wrexham appear to be the side in better confidence. Therefore, we will be siding with the Welsh club continuing their dream in the competition this term.
