Before Messi arrived at Inter Miami (along with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba), Atlanta United was the most valuable team in the 2023 MLS. The fact that this team’s value is over $70 million is evidence of how good Atlanta United is, even though its recent couple of results suggest otherwise.
The thing is that Atlanta Utd is winless in the last two games, with a home loss to FC Cincinnati and a draw against FC Dallas on the road. Still, in both of those games, the boys from Georgia put on a great fight. But will they be able to do the same against mighty Inter Miami?
The Tata Martino-coached team has turned into a world-beater since the arrival of Messi. They’re without a single loss in their last 12 games, with three wins and one draw in the MLS. In their most recent MLS game, they defeated Sporting KC even though Messi was away on international duty.
