Game Preview
CF Montreal did not impress at the 2023 Leagues Cup, with its journey ending after the group phase. However, once the 2023 MLS season resumed, they defeated their Canadian rivals Toronto FC on the road. The final score was 3-2 in a game in which Toronto scored an own goal and had one of its players sent off.
It wasn’t a vintage win, but Montreal did get three points. As a result, this team is still in the playoff zone. Right now, the Canadians are eight, but what needs to worry them is that they’re in the same conference as Inter Miami – and Lionel Messi & Co. are determined to get to the postseason.
What this means is that in order to stay in the Top 9, Montreal players need to keep on collection points. But can they do it against such a mighty opponent as New England, which is currently second in the East?

Just a few weeks ago, the answer would’ve been no. However, a lot has changed at New England since – coach Bruce Arena got suspended and the Revolution’s first-choice goalie Djordje Petrovic decided to move to Chelsea.
CF Montreal vs. New England Revolution Prediction
CF Montreal’s Achilles heel in 2023 has been their anemic offense. But that shouldn’t worry these guys much as New England is bound to be weaker defensively after Petrovic’s departure. We think the Canadians can score some goals on Saturday, which should be enough for their second MLS win in a row.
