Wayne Rooney’s DC United has a score difference of 26-26 at the moment. That’s kind of strange, knowing that the “Black-and-Red” love playing defensive-minded soccer, looking for their chances on the break and from set-pieces.
This is actually a very smart strategy for a team that has pacey wingers (Taxiarchis Fountas and Cristian Dajome) and a big and strong target man (Christian Benteke). It’s very likely DC United will employ the same tactic once again.
This time, Rooney’s got another reason to go with a defensive tactic. His team is taking on FC Cincinnati, which is one of the best teams in the league when it comes to offense.
