Game Preview
FC Dallas tends to do well against big teams. So far in the 2023 season, “Toros” beat such heavyweights as Los Angeles Galaxy, St. Louis City, and Los Angeles FC. This, actually, isn’t too much of a surprise given that they’re decent at the back, with some very clinical players in the attacking department.
Against LAFC last weekend, they had the ball in their possession for just 37% of the time, making only 7 goal attempts (LAFC made 15), but still managed to win 2-0.
The problem for them is that this sort of tactic might not work against DC United. Wayne Rooney’s men tend to create a lot of goal chances (85 in their last five games), with many of them ending up in the opposition net.

They’ve scored 29 goals in the 2023 MLS (1.38 goals per game), with at least one goal in 16 of the 21 league games they’ve played so far.
FC Dallas vs. DC United Prediction
Our prediction is that both teams will score at least once on Tuesday evening. Still, we do think DC United’s forwards are way more dangerous than those playing for FC Dallas, which is why believe they’ll be the ones to score more.
