LAFC is currently sitting in the No. 2 position in the Western Conference with two points fewer than the table leaders, Seattle Sounders. However, the Sounders have played two games more than the LA boys, meaning that they stand a chance to leapfrog them this Wednesday.
So, can they beat Sporting KC? The short answer is yes. A longer answer is that they should be able to do it as the reigning MLS Cup champs have a way better roster than Kansas City. Plus, the game is played on their turf, which is where Cherundolo’s team is 4-0-0 in 2023.

We have no doubt that LAFC will win Wednesday’s game. The only uncertainty here is whether they’ll score more than two goals. We suspect they will, mainly based on the recent form of their striker Denis Bouanga. This guy has scored a goal in each of his last three games in all competitions. Plus, in the 2023 MLS, he’s got nine to his name, which makes him the top scorer of the entire league.
