Game Preview

The coach of the New England Revolution Bruce Arena got suspended indefinitely a few weeks ago. Around the same time, the Revs’ starting goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic decided to move to Chelsea. Nevertheless, despite all that, New England has done surprisingly well.

This team’s fans are hopeful the Revs can do even better in the remainder of the season. One of the things that’s feeding them with confidence is that the former Sevilla, Olympiacos, and Huddersfield goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik is going to make his debut very soon. In fact, we could see him play his first MLS game this coming weekend.

With him between the posts, the Revs should be able to do well defensively. They should be able to resist Minnesota’s attacks as this team isn’t too dangerous offensively. This goes especially when it comes to the games played at Allianz Field in Saint Paul.

Actually, Minnesota United is one of the worst home teams in the 2023 MLS, with a 3-7-2 record. On the bright side for their fans, two of those three wins happened during the summer.

When it comes to the Revolution’s record on the road, it’s 3-4-5, which isn’t too impressive. What’s even worse is that the guys from Massachusetts haven’t won an away game since early May.

Minnesota United vs. New England Revolution

This will probably be a very close game with not too many goals. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if the game ended without a single goal.
