Sporting Kansas City is in good form with no losses since May 20. However, it’s because this team’s offense has been brilliant. Its defense, on the other hand, has been somewhat leaky. So far, the guys from Kansas have conceded 25 goals (in 18 games), which accounts for 1.38 goals per game.
Further, they failed to keep their net intact in each of their last six MLS games. In fact, Sporting KC has kept a clean sheet only four times this season, with three of those being a 0-0 draw.
Their defense isn’t great, but it might be good enough to stop the out-of-form LAFC offense. The reigning champions haven’t scored a goal in June and are winless in nearly a month. Their striker Denis Bouanga has been brilliant this season (he’s the MLS scoring leader with 10 goals), but his teammates have not.

Carlos Vela – the winner of the 2019 MLS Golden Boot – has scored only 4 goals this season. Then, there’s Stipe Biuk with two goals. That’s as many as Kwadwo Opoku, who won’t get a chance to improve his numbers this weekend because he’s suspended after getting red-carded mid-week against FC Dallas.
