Game Preview

St. Louis City is sitting top of the Western Conference table, but the question is for how long. The thing is that LAFC has the same number of points, but one game fewer, meaning that the reigning champions of the MLS can leapfrog them in the near future.

The reason why LAFC caught up with St. Louis is that the new MLS franchise had a bad couple of games earlier this month. Before beating the San Jose Earthquakes in the previous round, the boys from Missouri lost three games and drew one.

They put an end to their poor run last weekend, but they want to keep winning. Luckily for them, they’re locking horns with one of the worst MLS teams this Saturday. The Colorado Rapids is the team that’s currently at the very bottom of the table with just 14 points after 19 games played. The worst thing is that this team is without a win in the MLS since early May.

St. Louis City vs. Colorado Rapids Prediction

St. Louis City is the highest-scoring team in the West, so finding the net at least a couple of times against the Colorado Rapids shouldn’t be hard. But can the hosts keep their net intact or at least prevent the visitors from scoring more than them? We think they can. Even though St. Louis’ defense hasn’t been great lately, we do think they can handle the Rapids’ offense.
