Match Preview

It has been an excellent Nations League campaign for Germany. The EURO 2024 hosts have bounced back to their very best form in recent months, winning four of their five matches in Group A3. Germany’s place in the quarterfinals has already been assured, as they sit five points clear at the summit.

Germany come into this final round of matches after winning each of their last three. The nation put on an excellent show for their home fans on Saturday, scoring seven times against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

All their main attacking players managed to find the back of the net in the success, with Tim Kleindienst scoring twice. Florian Wirtz also netted a brace, while further efforts were registered by Jamal Musiala, Kai Haverz, and Leroy Sane.

Hungary have very little to play for in this final round of matches, as they are effectively out of contention to finish in the top two spots. The nation has won once in five Nations League matches, and have scored just three goals. Defensively, they have also been weak this year, conceding ten goals in their five matches.

A stern reminder was issued to Hungary over the weekend, as they were put to the sword against a talented Netherlands side. Things don’t get much easier in Budapest on Tuesday, as Germany have been in fine attacking form under Julian Nagelsmann.

Hungary vs. Germany Picks

Germany’s attacking players caught the eye against Bosnia on Saturday, and another excellent display could be on offer this week. Therefore, it could be worth chancing Germany to cover the spread on Tuesday.
