Thierry Henry’s France will be among the favorites to win the gold medal in the soccer event this summer at the Olympics. The host nation will open their campaign on Wednesday when they come up against the USA. France won the gold medal in the event in 1984, but they were unable to make it out of the group stage in the previous Games.

Unlike other nations, the USA have kept faith with their younger players, with the only overage selections coming in the defensive positions, with Walker Zimmerman and Miles Robinson called up.
