Game Preview
A disappointing campaign for Chelsea hit a new low over the weekend, as they dropped into the bottom half of the standings. The Blues have now gone two without a win, while their 2-0 home loss against Aston Villa was their tenth defeat in 28 league matches this term.
Chelsea struggled in the final third throughout that match, and the chances of a high-scoring game on Tuesday look low based on the fact that the previous three meetings between these sides in all competitions have ended 0-0.

Things haven’t been much easier for Liverpool this season, as they only sit three places higher in the standings. The Reds suffered a second straight defeat in the league over the weekend, as they were easily swatted aside by Manchester City at the Etihad.
That was the club’s ninth loss of the season, and they now sit eight points off the Champions League spots. However, Liverpool is unbeaten in their previous four visits to Stamford Bridge; winning on two occasions over that period.
Prediction
Both of these sides have been very disappointing throughout the campaign. However, we don’t expect Potter’s departure to have an immediate impact. Liverpool would be our win pick, with Mohamed Salah finding the net against his former side.
