Match Preview
Ipswich’s Premier League status continues to be in the balance as we approach the final stages of the 2024-25 season. The Tractor Boys have suffered defeats in four of their last five matches, and only three other teams have suffered more losses than Kieran McKenna’s side this term.
Crystal Palace have looked like a transformed team since the second half of the season. The Eagles have won three of their last four matches, and they now sit 12th in the overall standings. A win for Palace on Saturday could put them within striking distance of the top half of the standings.

Interestingly, Palace have never suffered a Premier League defeat against Ipswich in five matches. Four of the fixtures have ended in wins for the Eagles, with each coming in succession. Ipswich will be playing away at Palace for the first time since losing 5-0 in the second tier in November 2012.
Palace’s excellent form is reflected by the points that they have picked up over the last 14 matchdays. Since the start of that round, only Liverpool and Arsenal have won more points. But, it could be worth noting that just eight of their 27 points have been won in home fixtures.
Ipswich remain the only team in the Premier League that are yet to record a league win in 2025. Across their eight matches, they have suffered six defeats, and they have conceded at least twice in all but one of their fixtures in 2025.
Crystal Palace vs. Ipswich Picks
Ipswich’s poor defensive record is holding them back in the Premier League at this stage. Crystal Palace will be without a number of key players this weekend, but we still expect the Eagles to have enough to claim maximum points at Selhurst Park.
