A massive showdown at the bottom of the Premier League standings is set for this weekend, as Ipswich Town look to reignite their slim hopes of survival when they take on Wolves. The visitors could effectively inflict relegation on the bottom three teams with a victory at Portman Road.

Event Preview
Two sides that have been battling at the wrong end of the Premier League standings throughout the season will lock horns at Portman Road on Saturday. Wolves appear to have hit form at the right time of the season, as they have recorded victories in each of their last two, and have avoided defeat in four of their last five.
That run of form is something that Ipswich can only dream of at this stage of the campaign. The Tractor Boys have lost four on the bounce ahead of their midweek clash in the competition. That leaves them with a 12-point gap to make up. Their chances of survival look incredibly slim based on the fact that they have won just three matches all season.

Ipswich upset the odds in the previous meeting between the sides this season after landing a 2-1 win at Molineux. However, the Tractor Boys haven’t completed a league double over their Midlands rivals since 1991-92. Wolves won on their last trip to Portman Road in January 2018.
Ipswich have already suffered ten home defeats this season. That is their most in a league campaign since 2010-11. Meanwhile, they have only ever lost more home matches in a single season in 1994-95 when they finished bottom of the Premier League standings. The Tractor Boys also come into this round after losing their last five at Portman Road.
Ipswich vs. Wolves Picks
I have been incredibly disappointed by Ipswich throughout this season, as I expected them to put up more of a fight to remain in the Premier League. An away win looks like the most likely outcome this Saturday, and Wolves’ chances are enhanced based on the fact that they have won their last two on the road.
