It has been a miserable festive period for Man City, as their poor run of form has shown no signs of stopping in recent weeks.
The champions come into this round after winning just once in their last eleven matches across all competitions, which the City boss himself has called relegation form. City suffered a second successive defeat in their latest outing after falling to a 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa, and if anything, the scoreline doesn’t tell the whole story surrounding how dominant Unai Emery’s side were in that showdown.
The champions now sit seventh in the standings, and are four points off the Champions League spots. But, there is still more than enough time to turn the tide back in their favor.

Everton will be the huge outsiders in the betting for their trip to the Etihad on Thursday. However, the Toffees actually bring the better recent form to the table for this showdown.

Despite that run of form, Everton will still have one eye over their shoulders, as they are just four points clear of the relegation places.
