Newcastle enjoyed a memorable 2022-23 season, as they finished inside the top four places. However, they were unable to secure a second successive finish in the Champions League spots last term. They will be aiming to bounce back to form this term, and they begin the season against newly-promoted Southampton at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies boast an excellent record against the Saints after winning seven of their last nine in the league, which includes victories in the last three.
