It has been a testing start to the season for Mauricio Pochettino, as his Chelsea side are yet to his top gear. The Blues have won just once in their opening four matches, and they will need to put together a sequence of victories if they are to close the gap on the top four spots in the Premier League standings.
Their Premier League woes have continued this season, as they have won just once from their last 16 league matches. Worryingly, no side that competed in the Premier League both this term and last season have picked up fewer points. However, Chelsea landed a league double over the Cherries last season to end a run of one win in five against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth are still looking for their first league win of the season, as they played out a 2-2 draw against Brentford in their most recent match before the international break. The Cherries are winless in their last eight in the top-flight, which is their worst winless run in the league since going nine without a victory between February and July 2020.
