Liverpool will kick off the upcoming Premier League weekend on the road, as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to increase their advantage at the top of the standings. The Reds currently sit two points clear at the summit, but they have played a game more than their closest rivals Man City.
Liverpool got back on track last weekend, as they landed a 3-1 home success against Burnley. Diogo Jota opened the scoring after 31 minutes, before Luiz Diaz and Darwin Nunez added further efforts in the second period. The victory means that they have become the third team in Premier League history to have recorded maximum points after opening the scoring on as many as 30 occasions.

Brentford will be hoping that they will be able to put together a run of results in the Premier League after landing a much-needed victory on the road against Wolves last Saturday. That victory leaves them sitting 14th in the standings, and they are now six points clear of the relegation places. A win this weekend could see them end the round in 13th.
It was a positive display by the Bees last weekend, with Ivan Toney once again finding the net in the Premier League following his return from suspension. The win also marked Brentford keeping their first clean sheet in 13 attempts in the Premier League since a 2-0 win at Cheltenham in October.
