Match Preview

It had been a challenging couple of months for Brighton before the latest round of midweek action in the Premier League, as the Seagulls had been without a home win since September. However, they got their campaign back on track at Falmer Stadium in midweek, as they battled back from a goal down to record maximum points against Brentford.

The success was their second in three matches, and the Seagulls have now suffered just one defeat across their last five in the league. Their match-winning goal in midweek was netted early in the second half, as Jack Hinshelwood scored his first goal for Brighton in the 52nd minute.

Burnley will be the visitors to the seaside this weekend, as the Clarets look to bounce back after suffering defeat against Wolves in midweek. That loss leaves Burnley in the bottom three places in the Premier League standings, and it means that they have now suffered four losses in their last five matches. However, Vincent Kompany would have been encouraged by his side’s performance at Molineux.

Away victories have been common in this fixture, as four of the last seven have been won by the team on the road. Over that same period, there is yet to be a home victory when these sides have clashed. Burnley landed a 3-0 win against Brighton on their previous trip to Falmer Stadium in February 2022.

Brighton vs Burnley Prediction

The away trend is interesting this weekend, as there hasn’t been a home win when these sides have clashed since December 2018. Therefore, a huge chance could be taken on Burnley or the draw in the double chance market.
