All eyes will be on the bottom of the Premier League standings on Friday, as two of the sides in the relegation places lock horns at Turf Moor. All of the pressure this weekend will be on Burnley, as they could lose ground on their nearest rivals if they suffer defeat in front of their home fans. It was an incredibly testing festive period for the Clarets, as they lost two of their three matches.
Vincent Kompany’s side now sit five points adrift of safety, and they have one of the worst defensive records in the Premier League this term. Meanwhile, only Sheffield United have scored fewer goals than the Clarets this season. Burnley’s most recent league defeat came in dramatic fashion, as they were edged out in the closing stages by Aston Villa.

Luton Town have been the best performers of the promoted sides in the Premier League this term, and the Hatters could move out of the relegation places if they are able to claim maximum points this weekend. Luton come into this match sitting just a point behind Everton, while they have picked up two wins from their last three matches.
However, their winning sequence was halted against Chelsea in their previous match in the Premier League after suffering a 3-2 home loss against the Blues. But, the Hatters showed excellent character to force a nervy finish in that match after netting twice in the final ten minutes.
Burnley vs Luton Prediction
Burnley secured a 2-1 victory in the previous match between these sides, but it could be worthwhile supporting the away side on Friday. Luton come into the round in better form, and the incentive of moving out of the bottom three could prove to be too great.
