Match Preview
The pressure will be on Vincent Kompany this weekend, as he looks to guide Burnley to just a second league win of the season. They come into this match after losing eleven of their opening 13 matches this term, and they already sit five points adrift from safety. Their most recent loss was suffered at home against West Ham last Saturday.
Sheffield United are closer to safety, but they are just a point better off than the Clarets. However, a win on the road this weekend would see the Blades move to within a point of 17th place. Their two-match unbeaten run was ended in stunning fashion last weekend, as they fell to a humbling 3-1 home defeat against Bournemouth.

The Clarets have an excellent record against their rivals, as they have won four of the previous five matches between the sides at Turf Moor. Meanwhile, the side playing away from home have lost three of the four Premier League meetings between the teams. The only exception to that trend came in July 2020, as the teams played out a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.
An interesting trend to consider this weekend is the fact that the Blades have never lost a match against the team starting the day at the bottom of the Premier League standings. Over that period, they have won four times and have played out seven draws.
Burnley vs Sheffield United Prediction
At odds-on, it is well worth taking Burnley on this weekend. The away team in fixtures between promoted sides in the Premier League have won ten of the last 17 clashes. That could be a trend to consider this weekend, and a chance will be taken on the draw or Sheffield United in the double chance market.
