Match Preview
It has been an excellent period in the Premier League for Chelsea over the festive period, as the Blues have climbed into the top ten in the standings after winning each of their last two. Their excellent run of results was maintained in the FA Cup last weekend, as they easily booked their spot in the fourth round with a straightforward success over Preston.
However, their attention switches back to the Premier League this weekend. The Blues could yet make a move for a European finish in the top-flight during the second half of the season. They come into this match on Saturday sitting six points off sixth in the standings, and they could win a third match on the bounce after winning each of their last two.

It wasn’t the easiest Christmas period for Fulham, as the Cottagers lost ground on the top half of the standings after losing three of their last four matches. That run of results has seen the Cottagers drop to 13th in the standings, but they still sit nine points clear of the relegation places. In fact, a win this weekend could see them end the round just a point behind Chelsea.
Fulham ended a three-game losing run in the Premier League on New Year’s Eve, as they produced a stunning effort to secure a 2-1 home win against Arsenal. It was an excellent comeback success, and the Blues will be keen to ensure that they give nothing away to Fulham this weekend.
Chelsea vs Fulham Prediction
Fulham’s poor record against Chelsea could be hard to ignore this weekend, as they have won just once in the previous 17 clashes. Therefore, we will be siding with the home side picking up maximum points.
