Match Preview
Massive action at the top of the Premier League standings will take place on Saturday, as Arsenal and Liverpool collide at Anfield. The Gunners come into the weekend as the league leaders after winning four of their last five. Their most recent success was achieved against Brighton, which was the perfect response after losing on the road at Aston Villa.
Liverpool will be in need of a response this weekend, as they lacked quality in the final third in their previous match after playing out a goalless draw at home against Man United. But, a win for Jurgen Klopp’s side would see them go to the top of the Premier League standings.

The Reds have a strong advantage in recent clashes between the sides at Anfield, going ten without defeat. Over that period, they have conceded the opening goal on five occasions without suffering defeat. The most recent of those came last term, as the Gunners led 2-0 before the Reds struck back to pick up a 2-2 draw.
Arsenal have conceded at least once on each of their last 15 trips to Anfield in the league, conceding a total of 43 goals. Interestingly, this will be a seventh meeting between the Gunners and Reds in the final round before Christmas Day. Each of the previous three have ended in score draws, with the most recent coming in 2017-18.
Liverpool vs Arsenal Prediction
Liverpool’s scoring run at home was ended at 26 matches last weekend, but a response is likely this weekend. However, we expect Arsenal to put down a strong marker for the league title this term by landing a first win at Anfield in over ten years.
