Liverpool have made a reliable start to the new Premier League season, and they will be bidding to maintain that momentum when they host Aston Villa at Anfield this weekend. The Reds have an excellent record in this fixture, as they have won nine of their last eleven against the Midlands side. However, this exact fixture last term ended in a 1-1 draw.
Liverpool have won each of their last two in the Premier League, despite having conceded the opening goal on both occasions. Under Jurgen Klopp, the Reds have picked up more wins from losing positions than any other side in the English top-flight.

Aston Villa have recovered well since losing their opening match of the season. Over their previous two matches, the Villa have scored seven goals and have conceded just once. This is also a happy hunting ground for the Midlands side, as they only Man United and Chelsea have recorded more wins at Anfield.
However, the Midlands side are winless in their previous five visits to Liverpool. But, huge confidence will be taken from their away record since Unai Emery took over. Only Man City have picked up more points on the road in 2023 than Villa.
Liverpool vs Aston Villa Prediction
This is an exciting match in the Premier League this weekend, and cases can be made for both sides. However, at the odds available, we would be more than happy to take a chance on Aston Villa maintaining their excellent record on the road under Unai Emery.
