Match Preview
Man City’s mini-crisis came to an end last weekend, as the reigning champions claimed a late 2-1 success at Luton. Jack Grealish was the match-winner in that fixture, as he netted his 50th goal in club soccer. City’s home record at home is impressive overall, having gone 18 Premier League matches without defeat.
But, each of their previous two have ended in draws against Liverpool and Tottenham. However, they haven’t failed to win three straight home matches since December 2016. An interesting trend to consider this weekend is the fact that 12 of City’s last 13 goals against the Eagles have been netted in the second half.

The pressure is mounting on Roy Hodgson, as Crystal Palace are edging nearer to the bottom three places after losing four of their last five. However, they did claim a success away from home at Man United, and this weekend, they will be looking to become the first side since Leicester in 2020-21 to win away from home against both Manchester clubs.
Palace have enjoyed an excellent record at the Etihad, as they have recorded two wins during the Pep Guardiola era. Only Man United have recorded more away wins against City since the Spaniard took over. However, Palace will need to produce a much better performance than they have in recent weeks.
Man City vs Crystal Palace Prediction
Palace have been somewhat of a bogeyside for City in recent seasons, but it looks hard to make a case for them this weekend. Therefore, we will be siding with the reigning champions to land maximum points.
