Match Preview
It has been a dismal start to the season for Man United, as the club have failed to progress following an excellent first campaign under Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils suffered a 3-2 defeat in midweek in the Champions League against Galatasaray, which was their sixth defeat in ten matches this term, which marks their worst start to the season since 1966-76.
United have lost each of their last two matches at Old Trafford, which is as many as they had suffered in their previous 34 at the Theatre of Dreams. In fact, United haven’t lost three home games on the bounce since February 1979. Meanwhile, the Red Devils have already lost their three matches against London opposition this term.

Brentford inflicted a heavy defeat on United at the start of last season, as they landed a 4-0 home win on matchday two. However, they have lost each of their previous five away matches against the Red Devils, with their most recent win at Old Trafford coming in February 1973. The Bees have also lost three of four Premier League meetings with United.
But, Brentford have enjoyed recent clashes against Manchester opposition, as they have won three of their last four against United and City. Although, two of the victories have been recorded in fixtures against City. But, their style of play could be perfectly suited to this test on Saturday.

Given their recent performances, I wouldn’t be happy to trust United at odds-on this weekend. Therefore, we are expecting things to get worse before they get better for the Red Devils, with the Bees claiming maximum points.
