Erik ten Hag continues to work under increasing pressure at Old Trafford this term, as Man United have quickly moved out of the race for a Champions League spot this term. The Red Devils now sit eighth in the standings after losing three of their last five in the Premier League. However, the club bounced back to form with a straightforward success over Wigan in the third round of the FA Cup.
However, a return to winning ways in the league will be required this weekend. United were poor in their last league fixture, as they were edged out by Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. That was the club’s 21st defeat in 2023, meaning that United have only ever lost more games in three previous calendar years.

Tottenham have recovered well from their dip, and they find themselves back on the cusp of moving into the Champions League spots. Spurs could move into fourth with a victory on Sunday, while they could end the weekend as high as second depending on other results in the competition this weekend.
Spurs have won four of their last five in the Premier League, and they bounced back to winning ways in the competition before the turn of the year with a 3-1 home success against Bournemouth. Heung Min-Son and Richarlison both scored in that win, but they will be without their influential club captain this weekend.
