An excellent season for Aston Villa is currently at a cross-roads, as Unai Emery’s side will desperately be looking for a return to winning ways on Saturday. The Villa were comfortably beaten at home by Newcastle in midweek, meaning that they could drop out of the Champions League spots before this clash against the Blades this weekend.
Sheffield United only had themselves to blame in midweek, as they slipped to a 16th defeat of the campaign against Crystal Palace. The Blades took the lead on two occasions in that fixture, including an opening minute opener by Ben Brereton Diaz. Despite the positive display, it was a familiar feeling for the Blades on the road.
