Match Preview
Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season came to a screeching halt in their previous match, as they were reduced to nine men before falling to a 4-1 home loss against Chelsea. While Spurs deserve credit for their approach, it could be argued that Ange Postecoglou was incredibly naïve in that defeat after continuing to play with a high line in the second half.
Wolves also saw their positive run of form come to an end in the previous round of matches, as they suffered a first defeat in five after losing on the road against Sheffield United. However, a return to winning ways could see the Midlands side move up to eleventh in the league standings this weekend.

Wolves will take confidence from the fact that they have won two of their last three Premier League fixtures against Spurs. That is as many wins as they had recorded in their previous eleven against Tottenham. The home side also landed victory in this exact fixture last term, but they haven’t won back-to-back home matches against Spurs since 1968.
Tottenham come into this match on the road in excellent form away, as they have gone seven without defeat. Meanwhile, they could record three straight away victories for the first time since November 2020 on Saturday. But, the absences of James Maddison, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, and Micky van de Ven could be key.
Wolves vs Tottenham Prediction
Tottenham’s squad will be stretched ahead of this fixture, but it could be challenging to overlook the fact that half of the 18 Premier League fixtures between these sides have been won by the side playing away from home. Therefore, a chance is taken on Spurs to bounce back.
