Neither Man United or West Ham have started the 2024-25 season in the way in which they would have hoped. The Red Devils come into this round of matches sitting 12th after winning just once in their last four. However, a welcome return to winning ways arrived against Brentford last weekend.
West Ham sit a few places further back in the standings. The Hammers have won just twice in their opening eight matches, and they sit just five points clear of the drop zone. West Ham have lost two of their last four matches, conceding four times at Tottenham last weekend.
West Ham have impressed in recent home matches against the Red Devils, winning each of their previous two at the London Stadium. They haven’t enjoyed a longer winning sequence in home matches since 1977.
