Game Preview

The Argentinian team won in Uruguay, securing a place at the upcoming World Cup, where they defend the title from Qatar. It was 0-1 in Montevideo, with Thiago Almada netting the game-winner.

This was Argentina’s third win in the past four games, and in all of those triumphs, Scaloni’s unit kept a clean sheet. Even though Lionel Messi didn’t play due to an injury, the Gauchos were pretty solid.

Brazil has not lost in the past five meetings, winning three and posting a pair of ties. Their most recent contest was against Colombia at home, where Selecao won 2-1. Vinicius Jr. saved Brazil with a late goal in the ninth minute of stoppage time.

Selecao has huge problems in defense. This team has only one clean sheet in the previous six appearances, which indicates plenty of trouble in the back line.

Argentina vs. Brazil Head to Head

Argentina hasn’t lost to Brazil in the previous four games, winning three and having one goalless tie. In all of these matches, Brazil didn’t score a single goal, so it’s no wonder soccer odds see them as the +265 underdog here.

Argentina vs. Brazil Predictions

This will, too, be a very tough and low-scoring affair. Argentina won’t rush into anything, and be sure Brazil won’t either. That’s why we pick under 2.5 goals.
