Massive cricket action will be staged across the United States and West Indies later this year, as the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup takes place. The event marks the first time that the competition will involve 20 teams, marking a considerable expansion after 16 nations were represented in the previous edition.
England come into the tournament as the defending champions, after dominating Pakistan in the previous edition of the World Cup in 2022. However, the champions will have questions to answer this year after enduring a miserable 2023 on the field, which included an embarrassing exit in the group stage at the ODI World Cup.
