Gareth Southgate’s men came to Germany bearing the role of the top favorite to win the 2024 Euro. However, after two poor performances that saw them score a total of only two goals, the Three Lions dropped to the third spot at some online sportsbooks.
Speaking of Euro 2024 odds, England is a huge favorite to beat Slovenia on June 25. If the Three Lions do it, they will win Group A. They’d almost certainly advance to the knockouts even with a tie, but a loss to Slovenia could result in an end to their continental adventure.

Game Preview
England fans are blaming coach Southgate for the two bleak performances their team produced at Euro 2024 so far. In the first game of the tournament, they were lucky to win 1:0 against Serbia as we saw them make only three shots on goal in the 90 minutes.
That game shows that something’s not quite right with this team, but Southgate decided to go with the exact same starting XI and the identical formation for the game with Denmark. As you’d expect, the English struggled again. The final result was 1:1, but it was Denmark that had more goal chances.

Now, England is taking on Slovenia, which is probably the worst team in Group C. However, the Dragons have shown they can do great defensively, as well as hit the opposition on the break. That’s exactly how they played in the first two games of the tournament, each of which ended in a 1:1 draw.
England vs. Slovenia Prediction
England needs to beat Slovenia to win Group C, so that they would play against the third-placed team from Group D, E, or F. The team that finishes second in this group will probably get to play against tournament hosts Germany in the Round of 16. Southgate and his men definitely want to avoid that scenario.
